I’ve heard that nobody notices you when you first start Secondary School. What if I want to play on an athletic team? Do I have a chance to make the team, or will all the spots be given to older students?
Here’s the thing: Because we’re smaller than other schools, you’ll have so many more opportunities to participate at school. You should try-out for any and every team you want to be on – and you’ve got a better chance of making it while you’re a Junior student than you would at a bigger school. The DDSS community is safe and friendly – we’re sure you’ll find yourself with a whole bunch of new friends from older classes.

DDSS is small, compared to other schools. That translates into a safer and more friendly atmosphere for your child. Our students are always committed to upholding our community values, so you can rest assured that your child will never have to deal with a case of the ‘freshman blues.’ Our new students are welcomed with open arms by the entire DDSS community.
